Workplace first aid training: FAQs
What is the difference between Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work?
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) covers the essentials of responding to an emergency, such as CPR, choking, bleeding and an unconscious casualty. First Aid at Work (FAW) is the longer, fuller qualification and also covers a wider range of injuries and illnesses. Your first aid needs assessment tells you which your workplace needs. Both certificates are valid for three years.
Can you train our staff on-site?
Yes. We come to your premises and train your team together, on a date that suits you. You provide a room with enough clear floor space for practical work; we bring all the equipment and course materials.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Gloucester and train workplaces across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Wiltshire, Bath & North East Somerset, Somerset and Bristol. Our scheduled courses run at The Pavilion, Kingsway, Gloucester.
How many first aiders do we need?
It depends on your first aid needs assessment: the number of staff, the hazards in your workplace and your shift patterns. Our Team First Aid Checker gives you a quick answer.
Are your courses regulated?
Yes. Our accredited courses lead to Ofqual-regulated qualifications through QA (Qualsafe) and Highfield.
