The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one person who has a current and full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises and available at all times when children are present.
It is essential especially when you are with children you never know when an emergency may happen, and you will need your first aid skills to act quickly.
What individuals should take this course?
Gloucestershire county council have a list of training providers, click here for details, who deliver paediatric first aid courses. It should be noted that this is for information purposes only. These providers are not quality assured by Gloucestershire county council, nor do they have a commissioning agreement with them. Settings may use any training provider they choose, but must ensure that the provider meets the statutory requirements and that they are EYFS compliant.
